A new video on Transportation TV this week highlights the Second Strategic Highway Research Program or SHRP2. A collaboration between the Federal Highway Administration, the Transportation Research Board and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials--SHRP2’s mission is to create real-world solutions to today’s transportation challenges. SHRP2 is focused on four strategic areas: safety, renewal, reliability and capacity, offering a long list of innovations to help deliver transportation projects faster, smarter, and greener—improving safety and reliability. This video features Pam Hutton, AASHTO’S SHRP2 implementation manager. Hutton describes some of the program’s recent successes. She also encourages transportation officials to learn more about SHRP2’s many offerings and to apply for a final round of technical and financial assistance before time runs out.
