Temporary Lane Closure on
Whitehurst Freeway on May 17

(Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close one right lane eastbound or westbound on the Whitehurst Freeway at the Francis Scott Key Bridge daily from 9:00 p.m. until 5:30 a.m., on Friday, May 17, 2019, weather permitting. 

 

The closure is a part of the ongoing Key Bridge Rehabilitation Project and allows for bridge bearing replacement and fascia cleaning.

 

Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful of construction personnel
