PennDOT Announces Plans Display for Repairs to Stone Quarry Road Bridge in LeBoeuf Township, Erie County
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to a plans display regarding the repairs to the Stone Quarry Road (SR 2008) Bridge over French Creek tributary in LeBoeuf Township, Erie County.
The bridge is located on Stone Quarry Road near the intersection with Willy Road, approximately 1.2 miles north of Route 6.
The project will include bridge superstructure replacement and updated guiderails. Work is expected to occur during the 2019 construction season.
Plans for the project will be displayed:
Date: February 4 to February 21, 2019 (Closed February 13)
Time: 9 AM to Noon (Monday to Thursday)
Location: LeBoeuf Township
14270 Flatts Road
Waterford, PA 16441
The project will require a detour, which will use Willy Road, Route 6, Flaugh Road, and Vincent Road.
The existing bridge was built in 1904 and is classified as poor condition. Approximately 154 vehicles a day use the bridge, on average.
The plans display is also an opportunity for the public to review and comment on the project’s potential effect upon Cultural Resources pursuant to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s 36 CFR Part 800 regulations implementing Section 106 of the
National Historic Preservation Act.
The display is being held in a facility that complies with requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and it is accessible to individuals who have disabilities. Also, the project documents will be made available in alternative languages or formats
if requested. If you need translation/interpretation services or have special needs or have special concerns that require individual attention, we ask that you contact Matt Antrilli - Project Manager no later than January 31 at
