Seven new National Environmental Policy Act courses are being introduced by AASHTO's Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council or "TC3" for short.
The NEPA process requires federal agencies to assess the environmental effects of their proposed actions prior to making project decisions and the following courses make up the NEPA Overview Series:
TC3 added that AASHTO members who register now until the end of April for the new NEPA course can try two of the seven for free. It also noted that more than 90% of the NEPA curriculum is eligible for professional development hours or "PDHs," which means when a trainee takes a PDH-eligible course, those hours can contribute towards continuing education credits for license renewal.TC3 said it also offers prepaid training subscriptions available for purchase through its TC3 Training Store, which allows organizations to purchase its courses at discounted prepaid rates for their employees or members. Available options include annual unlimited courses per-user and bulk-hour pricing, the group noted.
Online voting is now underway to decide the People's Choice Award winner in the annual Faces of Transportation photography and video contest sponsored by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
